"...I told him I was a Christian, and he said he was, too. We talked about the first Christian song we’d both heard as children: “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong.” With the dinner party loudly going on around us, we both quietly leaned in and sang the song, smiling like choirboys. “Yes, Jesus loves me. I knew at that moment that this sweet-spirited young genius was going to find his eternal peace in heaven. I did not find Michael weird, messed up, or anything you’ve ever heard about him. I want to say that I feel all of the allegations ever charged against Michael were false, and that in my discernment, he did not have the capacity to ever do anything except love children and let them know he would do anything to stand up for them, and help them. Just look at the magnificent work he did on their behalf in writing and co-producing “We Are The World,” and the 39 charities for children he gave to generously. That was Michael. I believe that during his trials he related to the suffering of Christ, and prayed for intervention, because he was being accused over what he loved most—children. This caused him perhaps more pain than anything in his life.

I know Michael loved Jesus with all his heart. Quincy had told me about his work sharing his faith with others, often door-to-door, because he’d been raised a devout Jehovah’s Witness. Later in life he told people he was a non-denominational Christian. Still more recently, reports circulated that he’d converted to Islam. But the Michael I knew had seriously contemplated giving up music to spend full-time in Christian ministry.

If there’s anything that gives me peace during this moment of loss, it’s knowing that one of the greatest artists of our time is now moon-walking along the gold paved roads of heaven, where streets have no name, with a broad smile on his face, and a band of angels welcoming him home.

"My daughter, Angela, was in hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car. One day we were told by the nurses that Michael Jackson was coming to visit. We had to keep it a secret, so the hospital wasn’t overwhelmed with fans. There was a big flurry, as his assistants handed out T-shirts and signed copies of his Bad album to everyone on the ward. Then he just walked around and talked to the patients. […] I said hello. He said he was pleased to meet me. I was gobsmacked. He was very gentle and seemed shy. I got the sense he had a deep love for children, especially those who’d been hurt.

Then he crouched down and said “Hello, Angela.” She couldn’t talk, because she’d just come out of a coma, but she started smiling. After that day, she started to get better. I think of him as an inspiration. We’d been having a terrible time – Angela was in hospital and I’d been ringing Lifeline to keep myself together, but he was a total inspiration for the whole ward. I thought, Thank God for sending him. He just had a presence about him – this great empathy with people who needed to get better. Now, Angela is 25, at university and full of life. There was another boy on the ward who was about 15 and was a huge fan. After Michael’s visit, he started getting better too. His mom thought it was a miracle. I believe many of the children got better after meeting him. I think people should know about this side of Michael. I’ve never believed he was anything but a good person".

El 13 de junio de 2005, Michael Jackson fue absuelto de todos los cargos que cuestionaban su inocencia en un caso sobre supuesto abuso infantil. Ese día, los fans que siempre creyeron en él y lo acompañaron durante el proceso, liberaron palomas blancas como símbolo de libertad e inocencia. Michael, se alzó ante la multitud para mostrar su rostro sin culpa y agradecer a todos los que creyeron en él y estuvieron a su lado.

Lamentablemente, el tiempo que duró el juicio en su contra fue devastador para el artista, quien sufrió el ataque de la prensa en su contra, el prejuicio de la gente que lo culpó sin antes investigar al respecto y el proceso mismo del juicio, el que no estuvo exento de tortuosas experiencias psicológicas, físicas y materiales, como se da a conocer en este blog. La escritora Aphrodite Jones ha publicado recientemente un libro titulado "Michael Jackson Conspiracy", en el cual demuestra mediante hechos irrefutables la inocencia del artista y la escandalosa reacción de los medios, exponiendo las sucias maniobras utilizadas para destruir la imagen del cantante, a cambio de la lucrativa recompensa que esto implicaba.

El libro intentó ser publicado mediante las casas editoriales más prestigiosas de Estados Unidos, sin embargo, en el año 2005, ninguna de estas editoriales se manifestó interesada en publicar un documento que avalara la inocencia del cantante. Estaban interesados sí, en cualquier información que pudiese demostrar lo contrario.

Aphrodite Jones ha desarrollado una exitosa carrera como escritora, con varios bestsellers a su haber. Su especialidad es estudiar casos relacionados con crímenes, investigar a fondo y rebelar su visión. Ella fue invitada a colaborar en el caso de Michael Jackson para desarrollar su trabajo. En el año 2002, Martin Bashir, desarrolló un documental títulado "Living with Michael Jackson" (Viviendo con Michael Jackson). La idea era mostrar la vida doméstica del artista. Su forma de vivir, su casa, sus amigos y pasatiempos. Esta fue la idea que Bashir expuso al cantante, y él finalmente aceptó el desafío. Sin embargo, el cineasta deseaba a toda costa imprimir su visión personal respecto a lo que observó en Neverland. Editó el material final a su antojo e hizo comentarios en el film, que siempre apuntan a distorsionar la realidad, cuestionando la inocencia de Michael Jackson en forma gratuita. El film no muestra ninguna conducta inapropiada, sin embargo Bashir insiste en recalcar a la audiencia lo potencialmente peligroso que puede resultar que un hombre adulto reciba a niños como invitados a su casa.

La escena más polémica del film, muestra a Michael de la mano de un niño. Él además comenta:
"¿Por qué no se puede compartir la cama? La cosa más amorosa del mundo es compartir tu cama con alguien. Es muy encantador, dulce. Es algo que todo el mundo debiese hacer".

La frase es sacada de contexto. Más tarde, Michael Jackson descubre que la verdadera intensión de Bashir es causar polémica con este material. El decide aclarar que nunca compartió la cama con menores. No obstante, la situación causa un revuelo gigantesco e incluso suscita repentinamente la aparición de demandas en su contra. Este documental y su autor son los responsables de que la inocencia de Michael Jackson fuera cuestionada.

Sin duda, Michael Jackson, fue muy inocente abrir las puertas de Neverland a este periodista, cuya reputación en materia sensacionalista, deja bastante que desear. También fue inocente, compartir su visión respecto a diferentes asuntos, que podrían malinterpretarse luego, por personas de mente siniestra. Dado que él no poseía una mente de estas características y siempre se expresó de manera transparente y honesta, sobre todas las cosas durante su vida, Michael Jackson nunca imaginó las consecuencias trágicas de su propia inocencia.

Since he did not have a mind of this kind and he always expressed his self in a transparent and honest way about everything during his life, Michael Jackson never imagined the tragic consequences of his own innocence.

Muchas personas piensan aún, que Michael Jackson, renegaba de su color de piel y que es culpable de haberse practicado un tratamiento para blanquearse. La verdad, es que él también es inocente de ese prejuicio popular.

El video que presentamos aquí, muestra la verdad, sobre una enfermedad llamada Vitiligo. Un desorden en la pigmentación que es progresivo y no tiene cura. No en todos los casos es universal (despigmentación de todo el cuerpo) y se da en un porcentaje escaso de la población.

Michael Jackson, era especial hasta para esto último. El tuvo vitiligo universal. Y lo reveló en la entrevista televisada que dio para Oprah Winfrey en 1993. En aquella oportunidad también dijo:

On December 25, 2004, Ed Bradley with CBS News interviewed Michael Jackson regarding the new charges he is facing. The interview aired December 28, 2004 on "60 Minutes." Here is a portion of the transcript from that interview which CBS posted on their web site.

Bradley: "What is your response to the allegations that were brought by the district attorney in Santa Barbara, that you molested this boy?"

Jackson: "Totally false. Before I would hurt a child, I would slit my wrists. I would never hurt a child. It's totally false. I was outraged. I could never do something like that."

Bradley: "This is a kid you knew?"

Jackson: "Yes."

Bradley: "How would you characterize your relationship with this boy?"

Jackson: "I've helped many, many, many children, thousands of children, cancer kids, leukemia kids. This is one of many."

Bradley: "So, when he would come over, what would he do? What would you do?"

Jackson: They did it to try and belittle me, to try and to take away my pride. But I went
through the whole system with them. And at the end, I-- I wanted the public to know
that I was okay, even though I was hurting."

Bradley: "What happened when they arrested you? What did they do to you?"

Jackson: "They were supposed to go in, and just check fingerprints, and do the whole thing that they do when they take somebody in. They manhandled me very roughly. My shoulder is dislocated, literally. It's hurting me very badly. I'm in pain all the time. This is,
see this arm? This is as far as I can reach it. Same with this side over here."

Michael continues to talk about being handcuffed saying:

Jackson: "Yeah. And putting it, they put it in a certain position, knowing that it's going to hurt, and affect my back. Now I can't move. I — I — it keeps me from sleeping at night.
I can't sleep at night."

"Then one time, I asked to use the restroom. And they said, "Sure, it's right around
the corner there." Once I went in the restroom, they locked me in there for like 45 minutes. There was doo doo, feces thrown all over the walls, the floor, the ceiling. And it stunk so bad. Bradley: "For 45 minutes? "

Jackson: "Yeah, for 45 minutes. About 45 minutes. And then — then one cop would — come by, and say, "Oh, you'll be out in — in a second. You'll be out in a second." Then there would be another ten minutes added on, then another 15 minutes added on. They did this on purpose."

Bradley: "How did you feel when they went into Neverland, I mean, with a search warrant? I mean, what were they looking for? What did they take?"

Jackson: My room is a complete wreck. My workers told me. They said, "Michael, don't go in your room." They were crying on the phone, my employees. They said, "If you saw
your room, you would cry." I have stairs that go up to my bed. And they said, "You
can't even get up the stairs. The room is totally trashed." And they had 80 policemen
in this room, 80 policemen in one bedroom. That's really overdoing it//They took knives,
and cut open my mattresses with knives. C-- just cut everything open."

Bradley: "Did-- did they take anything from Neverland?"

Jackson: I'm not sure what they took. They never gave me a list."

Bradley: "So, you haven't been back there?"

Jackson: "I've been back there. But not in my bedroom. I won't live there ever again. I'll
visit Neverland. It's a house now. It's not a home anymore. I'll only visit there.
What time is it? Cause I'm hurting. You know what? I'm-- I'm hurting. I have to go
pretty soon anyway. Yeah. Okay. I don't feel good."

On 20 November 2003, Michael turned himself to face charges of sexually abusing a child (Jordan Chandler) at his Neverland Ranch. The same day he was released on bond. On June 14, 1995, Michael Jackson and his wife Lisa Marie Presley were interviewed by Diane Sawyer on Prime Time Live. Below are excerpts from the interview.

Sawyer:    [Addressing Michael] “Well because I know that you’ve wanted to express similar sentiments
  for a long time, I want to ask a few things about the charges. But first I want to establish
  for the viewers here, there are no ground rules. You have said to me you are not afraid of any
  questions. So, I wanted that understood by everybody before we proceed. I think I want to begin
  by making sure that the terms are clear. You have said you would never harm a child. I want to be
  as specific as I can. Did you ever, as this young boy said you did, did you ever sexually engage,
  fondle, have sexual contact with this child, or any other child?”

Jackson:   “Never, ever. I could never harm a child, or anyone. It’s not in my heart, it’s not
  who I am. And it’s not what I’m....I’m not even interested in that.”

Sawyer: “And what do you think should be done to someone who does that?”

Jackson: “To someone who does that? What I think should be done? Jee....I think they need
help....in some kind of way....you know.”

Sawyer: “Why did you settle the case then?”

Jackson: “The whole thing is a lie.”

Sawyer: “Why did you settle the case? And, it looks to everyone as if you paid a huge
amount of money.....”

Jackson: “That’s .... that’s, most of that’s folklore. I talked to my lawyers, and I said,
‘Can you guarantee me, that justice will prevail?’ And they said, ‘Michael, we cannot
guarantee you that a judge, or a jury will do anything.’ And with that I was catatonic.
I was outraged!”

Sawyer: “How much money....”

Jackson: “Totally outrageous. So, I said ... I have to do something to get out from under this
nightmare. All these lies and all these people coming forth to get paid and all these
tabloid shows, just lies, lies, lies, lies. So what I did, we got together again with my
advisors and they advised me. It was hands down unanimous decision - resolve the case. This
could be something that could go on for seven years!”

Sawyer: “How much money was ....”

Jackson: “We said, let’s get it behind us.”

Sawyer: “Can you say how much?”

Jackson: “It’s not what the tabloids have printed. It’s not all this crazy outlandish money, no
it’s not at all. I mean, the terms of the agreement are
very confidential.”

“I am doing well and I am strong. As you may already know, after my tour ended I remained out of the country undergoing treatment for a dependancy on pain medication. This medicine was initially prescribed to soothe the excruciating pain that I was suffering after recent reconstructive surgery on my scalp. There have been many disgusting statements made recently concerning allegations of improper conduct on my part. These statements about me are totally false. As I have maintained from the very beginning, I am hoping for a speedy end to this horrifying experience to which I have been subjected. I shall not in this statement respond to all the false allegations being made against me since my lawyers have advised me that this is not the proper forum in which to do that. I will say I am particularly upset by the handling of this matter by the incredible, terrible mass media. At every opportunity, the media has dissected and manipulated these allegations to reach their own conclusion. I ask all of you to wait to hear the truth before you label or condemn me. Don’t treat me like a criminal because I am innocent. I have been forced to submit to a dehumanizing and humiliating examination by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s department and the Los Angeles Police Department earlier this week. They served a search warrant on me which allowed them to view and photograph my body, including my penis, my buttocks, my lower torso, thighs and any other areas that they wanted. They were supposedly looking for any discoloration, spotting or other evidence of a skin color disorder called vitiligo which I have previously spoken about. The warrant also directed me to cooperate in any examination of my body by their physician to determine the condition of my skin, including whether I have vitiligo or any other skin disorder. The warrant further stated that I had no right to refuse the examination or photographs and if I failed to cooperate with them they would introduce that refusal at any trial as an indication of my guilt. It was the most humiliating ordeal of my life, one that no person should ever have to suffer. And even after experiencing the indignity of this search, the parties involved were still not satisfied and wanted to take even more pictures. It was a nightmare, a horrifying nightmare. But if this is what I have to endure to prove my innocence, my complete innocence, so be it. Throughout my life, I have only tried to help thousands upon thousands of children to live happy lives. It brings tears to my eyes when I see any child who suffers. I am not guilty of these allegations. But if I am guilty of anything it is of giving all that I have to give to help children all over the world. It is of loving children of all ages and races, it is of gaining sheer joy from seeing children with their innocent and smiling faces. It is of enjoying through them the childhood that I missed myself. If I am guilty of anything, it is of believing what God said about children, ‘Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of heaven.’ In no way do I think that I am God, but I do try to be Godlike in my heart. I am totally innocent of any wrongdoing and I know these terrible allegations will all be proven false. Again, to my friends and fans, thank you very much for all of your support. Together we will see this through to the very end. I love you very much and may God bless you all. I love you. Goodbye.”

El primer vídeo que mostramos a continuación, corresponde al quinto de una serie titulada "Videos Caseros Privados de Michael Jackson" transmitida en USA por la cadena Fox. El cantante presenta y comenta algunos de sus momentos personales registrados en vídeo. Destacamos este episodio en especial, ya que muestra su faceta infantil y su relación con los niños. Aquí se le ve compartiendo con sus sobrinos y otros niños, a quien consideraba sus amigos. Michael confesó que tras decepcionarse en muchas ocasiones de personas adultas quienes lo traicionaron, él sólo podía confiar en los niños y los animales, quienes no mienten, ni juzgan a nadie.

Michael siempre trató de compensar la infancia que no pudo vivir, en cada momento libre que tenía. Jugar, hacer bromas y divertirse con niños (y adultos de espíritu joven), era una manera cercana de volver a sentirse como niño de nuevo. The first video shown below, is the fifth in a series entitled "Private Michael Jackson's Home Videos" broadcast in the USA by the Fox channel. Singer presents and discusses some of his personal moments recorded on video. We emphasize this special episode, because it shows his child facet and his relationship with the children. Here he is sharing with his nephews and other children, whom he considered his friends. Michael confessed that often disappointed after adult who betrayed him, he could only rely on children and animals who do not lie, and not judge anyone.

Michael has always tried to compensate the childhood that could not live, in every spare moment he had. Playing, joking and having fun with children (and adults with young spirit), was a way to feel close as he being a child again. This is corroborated by her friend Broke Shields, who spoke publicly at the singer's official memorial.

Madonna realized an emotive speech during the delivery of The MTV Music Awards 2009 dedicated to Michael Jackson. She inaugurated the honoring tribut that MTV organized for the King of the Pop.

In brief, but intense words, the singer reported to the presents her relation of friendship with MJ, her vision about his history and her opinion about his ending. Madonna sentenced that we all abandoned him, when he crossed his hardest moment. His innocence was questioned and the media did not stop harassing him, destroying his person's image and promoting an image distorted of his self. Beyond the extraordinary artist that Michael Jackson was, they all seem to have forgotten that he also was a human being.
